After working as a journalist for France 3, AFP and Radio-France, Joël Genard was editor-in-chief of L’Hémicycle, where he covered all parliamentary news.
He was also a consultant for the Government Information Service (SIG), where he was responsible for strategic monitoring and advising Matignon on communication strategies.
He was also responsible for crisis communication management and conducted interministerial crisis exercises.
He now advises the Ministry of the Interior, Météo-France and the TOTAL group in the refining sector. He conducts media training for the CEA. Joël Genard has a background in law. He also trained at the Centre de Formation et de Perfectionnement des Journalistes (Centre for the Training and Development of Journalists).
