Aya Barakat

Aya Barakat holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations (Saint-Esprit University of Kaslik, Lebanon) and a master’s degree in Political Sociology and International Sociology (Paris Nanterre University). She began her career at the Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where she actively contributed to the Lebanese Diaspora Energy project, aimed at strengthening ties between Lebanon and its diaspora.
She continued her career at the Academy of Sciences (Institut de France) as a project manager in international relations, where she drafted strategic notes and reports with a particular focus on the G7 and G20 summits.
In 2024, she specialised in public affairs by joining ESL Rivington, first as an intern and then as a consultant, where she supported digital and tech players in their institutional relations, while managing a significant portfolio in the insurance sector.
